Introduction
The Privacy Act and specifically Principle 3 means that organisations should be open about why they are collecting
personal information and what they will do with it. This principle is about helping people understand the reasons we are
collecting your information.When an organisation collects personal information, it must take reasonable steps to make sure
that the person knows:
- why it’s being collected
- who will receive it
- whether giving it is compulsory or voluntary
- what will happen if the information isn’t provided.
Privacy statement
At Pennington Consulting we collect personal information from you, including information about your:
- name
- contact information
- session notes
- billing for services
We collect your personal information in order to:
- provide one on one or group sessions working with you and to assist in their planning and facilitation.
Besides the Pennington Consulting sta you are seeing, we would only share this information with:
- Emergency /Health services in order to support your safety and wellbeing if we believe there is a risk to your
safety or that of others
If you choose not to provide contact details and then read, review and sign an agreement to work together , we will not be
able to proceed with services.
We keep your information safe by storing it securely so that no one has access to it other than the person who is working
with you and the individual from Pennington Consulting you are seeing.
We keep your information for ten years from the date of last entry at which point we securely destroy it by having it
securely shredded.
You have the right to ask for a copy of any personal information we hold about you, and to ask for it to be corrected if you
think it is wrong. If you’d like to ask for a copy of your information, or to have it corrected, please contact us at
